NASCAR DRIVER INTERVIEWS (2003)
#12 ryan newman
As you'll see all over www.grandprixcites.com, race drivers are usally much shorter than I am. They're usually wired and highly strung too. It's as if their reflexes are as important on the track as off. Not so with Ryan Newman, winner of the August 2003 NASCAR MIS event. He was so calm I felt more like breaking open the beer cooler than turning over a race motor. Where on the busy and full NASCAR race schedule does Ryan like to visit? Find out in my Ryan Newman Interview
#0 jason leffler interview
Jason Leffler was busy enjoying one of the best weekends of his racing career. He'd been chosen to drive the NetZero car and he'd managed, in his first NASCAR drive, to qualify 6th! We spoke about stops on the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks hectic tour and Jason expressed a particular fondness for the beaches of his home state, California. Jason Leffler interview
#24 jeff gordon
Jeff Gordon is the busiest man in the NASCAR paddock. For many fans he's the face of NASCAR's rise. Always popular, but always with the time to talk to fans, press, and anyone else who cares to stop by, gentleman Jeff, took a few seconds from his busy schedule to talk about where he looked forward to visit with the NASCAR circuit. Interview coming soon.
Shane Threatt - Terry Labonte's #5 Kellogg's/got milk? team, tire mechanic
This very popular fellow became the face of southern hospitality for me at this NASCAR event. I'd always wondered how crew members travel on such a huge itinerary of destinations. Shane Threat, tire mechanic for Terry Labonte, looking like a million bucks in his fancy fire suit, dished out some interesting details.
NASCAR SPOTTERS
I was lucky enough to get up on the roof of the main grandstand to see NASCAR spottors doing their stuff. Check out the NASCAR spotter pics.

Michigan International Speedway Volunteer Services
I must say that I was impressed with the MIS volunteer staff, the servies they provided and their co-ordination for a huge event catering for 160,000 people. The task was vast but everything went without a hitch. These volunteers look after the interests of people with diverse needs and delivered a world class show!
